RHAISSA VIEIRA

Rhaissa is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Karolinska Institutet in the Microbiology Tumor and Cell Biology department (Stockholm, Sweden). She completes her MSc (2016) and PhD (2020) studies in Immunology and Cellular Biology (Fiocruz – Brazil) studying different aspects of the immune system such as regulation of functional response of macrophages and CD4 T cell in opportunistic infections, pathogen/ host interaction, inflammation, and endocrine-immune regulation. Nowadays, in her Postdoctoral research, Rhaissa works with primary immunodeficiencies understanding how immune cells are impaired in different immune backgrounds with a especial focus on megakaryocytes and platelets dysregulation and the impact on immune response.
